Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology (GSMST) has been recognized as the top high school in Georgia and one of the best in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. GSMST ranked #1 in Georgia High and 13th nationally on the publication’s list of Best High Schools. U.S. News and World Report evaluated data on more than 24,000 public high schools. Nearly 18,000 public high schools were ranked on six key factors, including their performance on state assessments and their effectiveness in preparing students for college. E-SPLOST is a one-penny sales tax that has successfully funded Gwinnett County Public Schools’ infrastructure needs since 1997. This proven investment model has supported over 182,000 students. Gwinnett schools earn National Blue Ribbon School designation

U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona has recognized five Gwinnett County public schools as National Blue Ribbon Schools for 2024. Among the select group of 356 schools nationwide are Brookwood Elementary, Craig Elementary, Trip Elementary, Hull Middle, and Twin Rivers Middle Schools. This recognition honors schools for outstanding academic performance or significant progress in closing achievement gaps among student groups. Notably, Gwinnett County Public Schools represent half of Georgia’s total Blue Ribbon Schools this year, with 10 in the state earning the designation.
